Fat Pants

I did something kindof big last night. Well, big in my world. To start at the begining I decided that when I lost weight all the clothes I have now would be thrown out. If I was tinner they would not fit and there would be no reason to keep them around. Also if I got rid of them them it would not be an option to gain my weight back. If I gained 5lbs I could'nt just put on a bigger size because it would not be there. I would have to evaluate where I slipped up and get back on track so my clothes fit again. For the last 12 years I have been collecting clothes of various sizes. Some of these clothes I fit in now and did not 2 months ago but some of these clothes I have yet to fit into. All of my clothes are a bigger size than what I want to end up in so eventually everything must go. The other day I threw on a pair of pants that I was wearing a couple months ago I never really liked them but they worked. Well, they were big (WAHOO!) I thought they looked sloppy and was really annoyed about them the entire time I had them on. So doing laundry the other day I pulled them out of the basket folded them up but just could'nt put them away. I sat them aside and for 2 days they sat out. As a joke I have been saying that when I lost weight I was going to make a fat pants quilt and all my jeans that no longer fit I would cut them up and make them into a blanket. Last night I started it, I took those pants and cut them up. I do not have the option to ever wear them again. I did not think that it would be such a big deal but it has been a really emotional step for me. Sort of a theres no turning back, and I have to take charge kindof thing. Its scary but motivating at the same time.
Loosing weight is easy, just eat healthy and exercise. Basically if you have a trainer, a nutritionist, a chef, and a guaranteed hour and a half of uninterrupted time to yourself everyday this is no problem. For those of us who dont live in Hollywood its not so easy. Life sometimes gets in the way. Everybody has there own struggles and their own changes they need to make in there lives. If its weight loss or something completely different anyone who has tried to make a big change knows that there are ups and downs, easy times and hard times. My last few weeks fall under hard times, nothing serious happened so no need to worry. With alot of circumstances I have slacked off a bit. I have not done anything drastic to screw up what I have done so far I just have not been able to work out and eat as well as I would of liked to. So by cutting up my pants I have made a declaration to my self and to all of you who read this to not go back to where I was but to keep trying to progress. Some days everything will just work out and some days I will just have to do what I can. I know that weight loss is a process and some weeks I may lose and some I may not but I just have to keep working and not get so discouraged when I dont. As long as I am to my goal weight by my birthday I will be fine. Just teasing but would'nt that be cool. So sorry friends for the novel I have had alot on my mind. Thanks everyone for your love, support, and encouragement. For those of you who are in this with me we have 1 more month in the contest. Good luck and hopefully for all of us one day this will no longer be something we struggle with. We will all be our desired size and curled up snug in a fat-pants quilt. For those of you who have those pants your hanging on to, cut them up its seems silly but its an unexpected liberating feeling. Now go take on the day! :)

Paige=pest

Paige is into everything! Those of you who visit occasionally know that my house is never clean. With a family of 6 and 2 pets of course keeping a clean house is a chore. But Paige, she is about to be sold. I have spent the last couple of days doing alot of laundry and cleaning. I want a good head start on spring cleaning, I want to spent my extra time having fun instead of catching up. Paige is making this very difficult. Everywhere she goes she leaves a path of destruction. She pulls everything she can reach off of our bedside tables, in the first picture she pulled down a napkin and of course shredded it. In the second picture she pulled stuff out of our pantry onto the floor then left. Not shown is all the contents of the diaper bag pulled out, all of her and Drews diapers off the shelf, all the clothes out of our dresser drawers, and her latest getting our shoes out of our closet. The worst thing is she does not play with these things (except when shes shredding stuff) her fun is pulling them out, making the mess. I know what you are thinking "watch your kid lady!" I promise you she is rarely unattended. The baby wipe picture happened while I was switching the washer and dryer, the pantry picture was while I was gathering laundry in my room, the napkin happened while I was doing dishes. The funny thing is that everytime I leave the room she follows me. So these messes are made while shes going from one place to another. Just a stop on her way to see where mom went. All this destruction takes her seconds. I say it all the time, but its a good thing shes so cute or she would'nt last long. Next time any of you come over and my house is a mess just remember the pest that is Paige and remember that she has a brother and 2 sisters that make messes too.

What goes on when mom is in the shower.

What do you do with a infant and a toddler when you need to shower? Well it depends, Drew for the most part will play with his toys or watch his shows. Paige is a bit more complicated. She needs to be some where that she can be safe, close so I can hear her, and doing somthing that will keep her interested for at least 5-10 min. The saucer is first choice. It is safe, has plenty to keep her busy, and if she is interested in what Drew is watching it puts her up higher so she can see. I also thought it kept her safe from Drew, he is very sweet to her and lately they have been playing alot but sometimes he gets a little rough. So the saucer, the obvious choice, Right? Only if I put Paige in a rain coat. Why I was in the shower Drew had found the squirt bottle. We try to keep it away from him but I used it to do Paiges hair and forgot to hide it after. I had just filled the squirt bottle for Paiges hair so I know it was close to full. When I got out of the shower I heard Paige and Drew giggling which is pretty common, no cause for alarm. Its usually peek-a -boo or something like that. So I went to see what they were doing Drew had wet his hair and water was dripping down his back. Paige was soaked, Her hair drenched and water was dripping down her face onto her shirt. He had squirted the entire bottle on himself and Paige. Kids huh? I can only imagine what they'll come up with next.

Little Punk!

To make a long story short Haylie and morgan have been grounded for not doing the things they should. I pretty much told them that they would do nothing they liked, nothing fun, and that life would pretty much be homework and chores until I decided that they were putting forth an effort. This comes at a good time because I am sortof in a cleaning and organizing mode, and now I have 2 employees. So yesterday after school Morgan came home and was asking to do stuff that she has clearly been grounded from. I reminded her that she is grounded and those things she was asking to do are privileges that she has not earned back. She went and did her homework and came back thinking she could now "have Privileges." I said no because we needed to go to her room and go through all her clothes to get rid of what is junky or what does not fit. This is a task that Morgan just loathes, she complains and whines everytime we have to do this. Well Morgan being Morgan without a flinch says "I love going through my clothes, it is so much fun, I really like it. I am so excited to do it.I cant wait," then she looks at me and smiles. I told her that it was a nice try, then I called her a punk. We cleaned out her closets and it was actually not bad. I had very little resistance and minimal whining. This little story is just a preview to what I have to look forward to.

Mini-Justin

Anyone who knows Justin can look at these pictures and see how much Drew is like his dad. This out fit is a standard Justin uniform. Some times it is mixed up a bit with different pullovers and different hats. For instance a green pullover with a camo hat is great to hunt in, his new Sequoia pullover and any number of hats are great to work in. He can also dress it up a bit with a clean hat (meaning no blood or sweat rings) and we can go on a date. I got Drew dressed this morning and had to laugh at the resemblance to his dad. The are both handsome guys.

Paige is a pest!

Last night Justin and I were watching T.V. Paige was in our room with us playing on the floor. She plays with toys pretty good and can stay content for a while. Usually if she gets tired of one thing she will just find another. Well she got quiet and Justin looked over at her and this is what she was doing. Shreading toilet paper into tiny Paige size pieces. She loves to tear up paper and t.p. is very easy to tear. My dog does this also, maybe he taught Paige how to do it. As you can see she thinks shes really funny!

Ice Skating

Just a cute picture of the girls with their cousins at Skating lessons.

My Haylie

Haylie and Morgan started ice skating at the beginning of Feb and have both really enjoyed it. Haylie likes to try everything. She is now ice skating, playing church basketball, in Young womens, soon she will start spring soccer, and is signed up to start softball this summer. Haylie is so fun she also comes up with alot of wacky things to do. She has great humor is fun to be with and the babys just love her.

Morgan

Morgan is always comming up with wacky things to do and almost everyone makes a big mess. She writes stories, family news reports, builds forts, every item in the house she can find a better use for. Give the girl a cardboard box and you wouldnt beleive how many things it can be. She usually has Drew following her around, playing right along with whatever She has created at the time. I am sure you will hear alot about Morgans adventures but I thought that this picture was a good place to start.

Drew is all boy

Drew is everything you would expect a little boy to be. He is rough and tough. Everything he finds is to climb on, jump off of, or throw. Everything has potential to be a bridge for his cars or a track for his trains. He has one problem though, 2 older sisters, that he loves to play with. Most of the time its all good clean fun but from time to time I witness some things that are better left unsaid. Like people say a picture is worth a thousand words.

A little about Paige

Many of you who know Paige are not aware of the genius hidden behind those big blue eyes. At the young age of 11 months she has the potential to pick whatever she wants to be in this world. The world is her playground with so many choices at the tips of her fingers. She can dig for gold or explore the deep for hidden treasures. The options are endless. Keep an eye on this girl you never know what she pull out of that genius brain of hers.

Introductions

These are my kids and my possessed (not sure if I spelled that right?) dog. Haylie is the oldest at 12 years old and in the 6th grade. She is so sweet and fun and the nicest kid you"ll ever meet. Morgan is 9 and in the 3rd grade she is very creative and has alot of spunk. Andrew is 2 he is a blast, so much fun, he loves to play and has the silliest sense of humor. Last is Paige she is 11 months old and such a big part of all our lives. Even at such a young age she already has so much personality and I am so excited to see what she grows into. I better mention Mojo, he is my dog Justin gave him to me for our anniversary maybe 6 yrs ago. He is the dumbest dog but is so awesome with our kids, even Paige. I should mention that we have a cat named mim not shown in this picture. He has been with us longer than our dog and he is also great with our kids. Our family in a nutshell.

I started a blog!!

I decided to try a blog. I've been looking at my friends and familys blogs and they are so fun and I love reading them. At first I thought that I could'nt do it then I was told that its easy. Then I thought who wants to hear about our everyday silly stuff. Then I thought that I love reading others maybe ours will be fun for someone else. So I am going to try it. Wish me luck!
